Dean Smith is an author, evangelist, and lover of people. As the founder of Dean Smith Ministries, he speaks and travels, encouraging believers how to genuinely love others and meet their needs through the power and direction of the Holy Spirit—The Walk that we’ve all been called to live. Being called into ministry in his young adult years, Dean attended the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor before serving in positions as a youth minister, worship leader, associate pastor and minister of education. He is currently leading the power evangelism training "The Walk" at Renew Life Church in Midland where he serves. Originally from Indiana He and his wife, Kendi, have three boys and make their home in Midland, Texas.
